Karen Ziminski has been married to Richard Ziminski since 1969, and has one son who is successful, happy, and nice. Before becoming a therapist, she worked as a chemical engineer and as a high school chemistry teacher. She has lived in six different states. Her hobbies are reading, Latin dance, working out, and cooking. Karen is a clinical member of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy and serves as the treasurer of the Massachusetts division.

Therapeutic interests include issues of executive families, oppositional defiant children, gifted children, hyperactive children, post traumatic stress disorder, substance abuse, borderline personality disorder, eating disorders, depression, anxiety, sexual difficulties, and infidelity. She is certified in Dialectical Behavior Therapy, which is considered to be the most effective treatment for borderline personality disorder.
