At Achievement Counseling, we are obsessive about your privacy. Your
chart contains only necessary information, is seen only by your therapist
and kept in a locked drawer. No one knows your name except for Richard and Karen Ziminski. Anything in the computer having to do with clients is password protected.
If we need to send you a bill in the mail, nothing on the envelope mentions
counseling. We do not call you without your permission, and we do not
leave messages without your permission.
There are some legal limitations to confidentiality such as the law requiring
therapists to report suspected cases of child abuse to the Department
of Social Services. These exceptions are spelled out in detail on Achievement
Counseling's intake forms.
